Energy and Politics: Who is Ruling the Roost?
We find ourselves at the mercy of the age-old battle between wealth and political power and look where it has gotten us! Stuck in a deadlock between the non-renewable energy industry who lobby governments the world over for their favour, and the political establishments who willingly grant them subsidies. They are both playing fast and loose with our collective future. Of course, we could continue to ask who is more to blame, but to see progress we need to ask who will budge first, and how can we help to expedite this stalemate of faceless institutions?
