THE TEN PRINCIPLES OF EXTREME HANGOUT

PRINCIPLE 1

All are welcome, no preconceptions as to what you should look like, sound like, from which postcode, rich or poor, we are open to all, a space to share

PRINCIPLE 2

Hold a positive, beautiful, thriving vision of 2050 in your mind, in your heart, let that be your goal, work everyday towards that goal, do it with joy, compassion and steadfast determination

PRINCIPLE 3

A time to be heard, to tell stories, to debate, to mull, to question but above all to listen

PRINCIPLE 4

It takes bravery to share, to be open, to try, to endeavour, to strive. Our paths are all different though our human goal, to preserve all life on earth, the same. Approach each other, each thought and objective with kindest first, with respect and curiosity

PRINCIPLE 5

No such thing as a stupid question

PRINCIPLE 6

Together we are stronger and faster. Let us nurture and care for each other, share ideas and experiences, learn, empathise, rejoice, all side by side. Communities are humanities powerhouse

PRINCIPLE 7

Foster action… radical, mass movement, peaceful, creative, never harmful, never rude but brave and meaningful action and all actions, physical, mental and spiritual. Only actions speak louder than words

PRINCIPLE 8

Look outside of our community with love, you are welcome, all are welcome. Please do not judge one another, it is the present, their presence, that counts today, together we will work for the future we want

PRINCIPLE 9

Tread Lightly - leave a room, a place, a community always better than when you found it. Service is a beautiful thing. Give generously of yourself, pay it forward

PRINCIPLE 10

Celebration of our differences - Intergenerational, racial, gender, religious, political, cultural, historical - but always look for the similarities too, the recognition that we are all from the human family that we are all worthy of love, care, respect, of being heard. Where you may be challenged by an individual seek out something in them to celebrate
